Automation of aesthetics

Vincent Straub

A series of conceptual images and algorithmic works developed during a TRANSIENT online residency exploring the relationship between art & technology

Automation of sensation is a series of conceptual images and video works created using computer code that explores ‘software as a medium’ for creative processes, and ‘software as a message’ about contemporary aesthetics. Each works explores whether and how software technologies enable (or limit) forms of expression and experience, and what this means for the user and viewer.
