Present and past anxieties was exhibited in the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden as part of the Switch Festival at Tate St Ives organised by Tate Collective in September 2016.

Relying on archival footage and sound recordings, the video work Present and past anxieties reflects on the circulatory dynamics of sociopolitical events and historical change. The work was started exactly one year before the 2016 American presidential election took place. It was followed by the 2018 work Releasement.
